Croatia's Coastal Cruises, 2017

A newly expanded list of programs has been published with rates for 2017. Please check our web page.

Croatia has always been attractive for tourists, but since its independence 25 years ago it has become one of Europe’s most desirable destinations, especially the glittering Adriatic coast, which meanders for nearly 1,800 km - triple that when 1,185 islands and islets are included.

What’s striking is the sheer diversity: the ancient Roman ruins of Pula, Split and Zadar; the Venetian splendour of Rovinj, Hvar and Korcula; the mix of medieval and baroque in Dubrovnik; the old-world elegance of the Opatija Riviera.

Add to that the barren beauty of the Kornati archipelago, the lushness of the green island of Mljet and the countless beaches - most of which are pebbly.
Cruise Croatia Islands

A selection of 7-day cruises is available from early April until late October at fares starting from EUR 400 per person double occupancy, varying per vessel category and month, July and August being the most expensive. Combinations of two cruises covering most of the coast are popular as well as the Tour-and-Cruise packages.

Sailing early in the morning and stopping along the way for an hour of swimming at a beach. Breakfast and lunch are served on-board. Each afternoon, a new destination is reached for sightseeing and dining out at your leisure.

Cruise to Dubrovnik

Direct flights from North America to Croatia (Capital city Zagreb) are offered only by Transat from Toronto, ON. Within Europe, Croatia Airlines (croatiaairlines.com) along with other national and also low cost airlines, such as Easyjet, Germanwings, Ryanair, Wizz Air, offer regular flights from major European gateways to Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Rijeka (for Opatija) and Split.

European Coastal Airlines (ec-air.eu/en) is a scheduled seaplane service that connects major coastal resorts, as well as Ancona and Pescara in Italy. So does Jadrolinija (jadrolinija.hr), the national ferry company.

Vela Spila, Croatian for Big Cave, has been in the news lately as the ongoing excavations discover new details of extreme archaeological importance. It is enormous, well lit cave which was inhabited by early humans from at least 20 thousand years ago until the Bronze Age some 4,000 years ago. Location is on the island of Korcula, an hour by bus from Korcula town, which is included in the KL2 and KL5 cruise itineraries.
